A candid look behind ProVisualStock: how artistic projects sustain themselves and continue to grow

I have been working in photography for more than 20 years. For a long time, my work was focused exclusively on collaborating with stock agencies. It was an important period, from which I learned a lot, but which, over time, began to limit my creative freedom. I felt increasingly attracted to personal, artistic visual projects, in which images are not just stock products, but parts of a story.

Thus was born ProVisualStock: a platform that brings together my visual projects — photography, film, timelapse, hyperlapse — in an artistic and coherent form. It is a space where I try to express my own ideas, moods, and visual worlds.

Why am I talking about financing?

All the projects I develop through ProVisualStock — from photographic series to films, from calendars to experimental timelapses — require resources: equipment, time, consumables, logistics, prints, editing, and transportation.

The reality is simple: I cannot support such a large volume of artistic projects entirely out of pocket, and at this moment I cannot afford to collaborate with specialists in marketing, production, or sales.

At the same time, I do not want ProVisualStock to become a bazaar, an image supermarket, or a factory of cheap products just to “sell.” Doing so would mean sacrificing the very thing I am trying to build: an authentic artistic endeavor.

Why aren’t the prices always low?

Being projects made personally, without large industrial production, without massive discounts and without artistic-commercial compromises, the costs are reflected in the price. I cannot hire specialists at this moment, so everything is done manually by me. ProVisualStock is not a store oriented towards quantity, but a visual workshop that tries to finance itself without betraying its essence.
For those who choose to buy, they are not just purchasing an object — they are supporting the continuity of an artistic project.

Self-financing — the realistic and honest solution

This is why every project I launch is accompanied by a way to support it: calendars, art prints, limited editions (sometimes handmade), or complementary products related to the project.

Not out of commercial desire, but as an honest way to generate resources for future projects.
